Depression PSA: Letter to the Old Me

Our purpose behind creating a Public Service Announcement was to inspire those dealing with Depression to have courage to reach out and tell someone about their struggles. Depression is a constant battle and it can take an immense amount of courage to take the first step to get help. With an encouraging push, hopefully more are inspired to reach for help.

On Campus Internship, Preventing Human Trafficking
I am currently an intern for the doTERRA Corporate Social Innovations on-campus team to bring the 3Strands Global (NPO) curriculum to public schools, clubs and organizations in Utah. 3Strands has created a preventative human trafficking curriculum for teachers to train themselves and teach their students how to recognize both labor and sex trafficking tactics online and in real life situations. Unfortunately, human trafficking is not recognized as the threat that it really is in the United States. It is our goal to incorporate the PROTECT curriculum into schools across Utah to fulfill the new legislation that requires public schools to teach about human trafficking. It is also our goal to brand the 3Strands PROTECT curriculum as the #1 training for both teachers and students.
Suicide PSA: One More Light
In one moment, everything came to a stop. I remember sitting in class when I heard the announcement that a student on campus, just minutes after class started, committed suicide. Although I didn't know the student, I remember the feeling of heartache and sorrow that immediately encompassed the entire classroom. That moment shocked me. It moved me to dedicate my next project to raise awareness about suicide and the power every individual has to reach out a hand, share a smile and maybe even save a life.

Refugee Research

The Objective
To provide significant secondary research that shows the impact Virtual Reality has on the attitudes and behaviors of citizens in regards to the refugees in their native country and across the world. The design of our research is to partner with a local non profit refugee organization in order to influence positive behaviors within the host countries.
